Today, in the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the drafting of the Concept on Gender and Family Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, public hearings on family planning and the protection of the reproductive health of citizens were held until 2030.
Svetlana Zhakupova, Vice Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Public Council, heads of subordinate organizations and structural units of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the mode of video communication – heads of regional health departments, territorial Department of Labor, Social Protection and Migration, Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of non-governmental organizations.
During the public hearings, the measures taken to protect maternity and childhood, the development of school medicine, gender and family-demographic policy were considered.
Opening the event, Svetlana Zhakupova noted that within the framework of the implementation of the State Program “Densauly” for 2016-2019, a number of activities aimed at protecting the health of the mother and child are envisaged.
“A series of measures will be implemented to protect the health of the family: family planning, prevention of morbidity, treatment and rehabilitation of chronic diseases of the female, male population and children, improving the organization of andrological service, increasing the effectiveness of prevention and modern treatment of diseases of the male reproductive system,” Vice-minister.
Svetlana Zhakupova also stressed that special attention should be given to the formation of a healthy lifestyle among young people.
The director of the Scientific Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology Lyazzat Aktaeva informed about the measures taken to protect the reproductive health of citizens. Issues of the development of school medicine for the prevention of diseases among children were discussed during the report of Elmira Akhmetova, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization of Medical Assistance of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Based on the results of public hearings, recommendations were developed and appropriate instructions were given.
Recall, on behalf of the Head of State, the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is developing a draft Concept on Gender and Family Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030. Considering the importance and long-term nature of the document, public hearings will be held in all sections of the concept.
