How to ensure that your children are distinguished by their high school performance and good behavior?
They need to get enough sleep. As it turned out, more than 60 percent of children aged 6 to 11 years do not go to bed on time, that is, around 9 pm. Because of this, they do not get enough sleep and do not do well in school. Experts recommend children of this age about 10 hours of sleep every day.
There are three characteristics by which you can determine whether your child is getting enough sleep:
1. If your child does not get enough sleep, he tries to “catch up” this defect on weekends, waking up after 9 am – more often at 10 – 11 hours and at noon. This means that the child is trying in this way to make up for lack of sleep.
2. You notice excessive irritability in your child, which takes place on weekends.
3. Before you go to school, your child needs tea and other beverages containing caffeine.
How can you help such children?
If you have determined that the baby does not get enough sleep, it’s best to have him sleep 30 to 60 minutes more than usual. As research has shown, this greatly improves the performance of such children in school and their behavior. Even 20 to 30 extra minutes of sleep can have a positive impact on academic performance and behavior. Since school classes start at the same time, it is obvious that the only way to prolong a child’s sleep is to go to bed early.
