The integrated model of delivery of medical assistance of the obstetric service in Kazakhstan is aimed at reducing maternal and perinatal mortality. Pregnant women with a gestation period of up to 30 weeks, postpartum and post-abortion women with extragenital pathology, in the presence of medical indications and absence of obstetric complications, are hospitalized in specialized somatic departments of hospitals. The transfer of pregnant women, parturients, puerperas, newborns to medical organizations of obstetrics and childhood of a higher level (in the absence of contraindications for transportation) is carried out by the sanitary aviation service.
All air ambulance services that provide round-the-clock medical care to pregnant women, women in labor, women in childbirth and children are equipped with modern means of communication: consultations by the department’s specialists via telemedicine, THURAYA, SCYPE satellite communication is used for communication.
For example, in Akmola region, telemedicine equipment operates in 15 districts, the percentage of GPS navigation equipment is 25.9% (Kokshetau and Shchuchinsk). The construction of the microbiological laboratory of the Mangistau regional perinatal center has been completed.
