In September, 2016, Eslamgalieva Sholpan, resident of the 1st year specializing in Medical Genetics at the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a presentation: “Type 1 Diabetes with Ketoacidosis” at the international conference “Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism”, which was organized by the European Society for Endocrinology in Paris, France.

This conference was devoted to the problems of diabetes, overweight and metabolic disorders in children, including the problems of gene pathology in syndromic types of obesity.

In addition, in October 2016, she participated in an international conference on new technologies used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus, organized by the European Association for the Study of Diabetes in Athens, Greece.

The reports on the first artificial pancreas, the transplantation of the islets of Langerhans and stem cells were discussed. A master class on pump insulin therapy was conducted.

As a result of the conferences, Sholpan received certificates for active participation in the events held.

Sholpan is an endocrinologist in the first specialty, very interested in the issues of genetic changes in the field of endocrine diseases.
